I woke up in the middle of the night and stretched my legs while lying in bed. Big mistake, apparently. I don't know what I did, but it felt like my calf muscle was tearing away from the bone,
ouch! I leap out of bed as fast as I could to try and relieve the pain. I did different stretches and it finally went away. When I stretch it now, it still feels a little sore. Weird, right?
Nope, not weird... happens to pregnant people all the time (aka, almost nightly). It just means that you are a bit dehydrated and that you need more potassium. Working out (or being pregnant in my case) can deplete both of those things. What you need to do is (1) drink a lot until your pee is light yellow and (2) eat a few bananas. You'll be just fine but it is no fun for sure!!! Take care ;)
ReplyDeleteBut it still doesn't make sense.. because I drink 2-3 times the amount of water a person should drink daily (my pee is almost always clear/light yellow) and I eat bananas pretty regularly. Oh well. I'm better now. Thanks for the input though!!
DeleteNo problem... sometimes you would be surprised just how much you have to drink. I have had to drink 2 gallons before because I was so dehydrated.
